What’s better then a bullet vibe then a bullet vibe with lights? Really, what more could a girl ask for? This bullet vibe and battery pack is a great shade of purple and reminds me of costume jewelry. The actual bullet that vibrates is translucent and glows blue by led light. Wired bullet vibes can be a lot of fun! The intensity of the vibe wasn’t strong enough for me, but it was a great warm up. If you are like me and enjoy stronger, intense, rumbling vibrations, don’t expect it to rock your world. However, if you are a fan of other bullet vibes or pocket rocket type vibes, or just need some thing pretty hands-free than this will get you there. Whether this is your first toy, a gift for a friend, or you are just trying something new with yourself or a partner, you will not be disappointed. It is a very simple design jazzed up with a gem inspired battery pack and don’t forget it lights up! There is no on/off button, but there is an intensity dial. If you like pulsations, you can be creative with the dial and control the pulsing speed yourself.
It takes AAA batteries, for best results use brand new alike batteries-no stealing them from the TV remotes! Another feature is that the bullet and battery pack can be interchanged with other wired bullets with plug-in jacks and battery packs for a variety in vibes, sensations, multi-speed pulsations, and patterns. One thing I wasn’t expecting was how warm the bullet got after being on fully speed after only 15 minuets. It was over heating and it felt uncomfortable. I even tried it later on in the evening just to make sure it wasn’t just body heat or my human error. I turned it on and just had it in my hand and it still got very warm rather quickly. All in all, I recommend using this toy as a warm up or during intercourse. For the love of God, keep it away from water. If you are using it with another partner, put a condom on it. This toy would be great for a beginner since it is inexpensive and customizable to find what pleases you without breaking the bank.

Pros: Its body safe hard plastic, it glows, the cord is a generous length, quiet, translucent plastic is cool.

Cons: It feels cheap and is plastic, not powerful enough; not discrete-it lights up! Heats up after short amount of time (15mins).

First and foremost I want to say thank you for believing in me and trusting me to be YOUR Leather representative.  Thank you for all your well wishes, airline miles, donations, toys, tips, money, clothes, shoes, laces, time, support, and love!  Thanks to you I was really able to shine.  I had a GREAT auction basket and I’m very pleased to have found out that my first pair of leather pants (yes, the one’s i wore to my friend’s bat miztfa) are staying in the family!  My dear friend andy Roginous won them!

Sara Vibes

The East Coast has an entry in the Twenty-Fifth annual International Ms Leather.  Yes, you guessed it!  Sara Vibes is running for International Ms Leather 2011!

Sara Vibes was born and raised in New York City.  She is a black, polyamorous, queer, kinky, dandy, top-heavy princess.  Vibes is a musician, writer, sex blogger, and educator in training and flags silver lamé for star fucker.  She was abandoned in a hospital in the Bronx in the late 80’s weighing less than two pounds and addicted to crack.  She was adopted by a white Jewish woman with cerebral palsy from Brooklyn and a black Christian man from Jersey with spina bifida who both passed before she was 9.  Vibes’ mother was a social worker and sex therapist who specialized in sex and disability.  Her book selections encouraged and influenced Vibes exploration into sex and sexuality.

Vibes is an active member in BDSM and LGBT communities in New York City and beyond.

She is a founding member of Nina Hartley’s SexWise.me, a sex-positive online community, and worked as a curator and contributor of SexWise Magazine.  Vibes has been interviewed by Nerve magazine and appeared on Reid Mihalko’s “Queer, Poly, & Under 30″ panel at Dr. Carol Queen’s Culture in San Francisco.  She has taught with her partner Indigo at Playhouse in Baltimore and recently hosted “Sexxxy Game Night” at Dark Odyssey: Winter Fire.  She will also be a contributor to Perverts of Color Anthology.

Vibes will be traveling to kink and poly events throughout the year and documenting her experiences on her blog and on her column on Fearless Press, an online magazine on sexuality, relationships, kink and more.  Her mission is to make sex education accessible to everyone.  She currently works at Toys as a sex educator spreading sexual awareness to residents of NYC.  She hopes to rip the veil off of the shame surrounding sex and sexuality through self-love and exploration with people that care about each other.

WHY SARA VIBES?

Sara Vibes is making quite a name for herself in LGBTQ and BDSM communities as a sex educator, sexpert, and presenter.  At the young age of 22, she has already traveled much of the country visiting, volunteering, presenting, and schmoozing with leather, poly, and kink communities.  She has the ability to navigate her multiple identities as an adopted, black, bi-racial, poly, kinky woman and speaks about these identities in a way that is accessible for everyone.

Her mission as International Ms. Leather is to promote sexual freedom amongst people with disabilities.  “My parents were disabled and my mother worked as a sex therapist fighting for the rights of disabled people.  I intend to live out her legacy by telling her story and speaking for the rights of those who don’t have a voice.”

You can show your support for Sara by buying an advertisement in the IMsL program.  The wider the support for Sara on the pages of the program; the stronger her candidacy will appear.  Individuals and groups as well as companies and products can participate.  Over 800 attendees will see the program.

Advertisements can be as small as a business card or a full page.  By buying an ad, you are supporting not only Sara’s candidacy, but the IMsL contest itself and its function as beacon of Leather Pride and a way to spread awareness of Women’s Leather culture around the planet.

Running for IMsL is not cheap.  Airfare, hotel, food, great outfits, bribes for the judges…. all this costs big bucks.
Sara welcomes direct support and she will need it.  Cash, airline points, donations of items of spectacular clothing, all of these will help.  Sara has a registry at myregistry.com where you can buy select items of clothing to help her look her best!  You will be along for the ride as Sara competes for the title and then, if the points are in our favor, executes the duties that come with the title.  Contributions may be cash; check or Paypal, if that is more convenient.

I’ve always had a positive self-image.  I’m cute!  I always have been, I’m lucky that way, and I have hips!  So going to the beach or a pool party was never terribly traumatic as I remember it being for Doug Funny when he got invited to Patty Mayonnaise’s pool party.  I played a lot of sports in High School and lifted weights, I just was never skinny.  Sure there were always insecurities that popped up in the background, and there was always some girl in High School who knew how to push my buttons, but in general I have confidence covered.

Today, I have finally stepped over and embraced being fat and being pro fatty.

Today I was on Facebook and in my updates I noticed a friend of mine had changed his profile pic.  Normally, I wouldn’t care, but he changed it to a picture of a naked fat girl.  The perv that I am clicked on the link, and I there were a few mean and disrespectful comments about this picture.  I was ok with some of it-people like what they like, but it doesn’t mean s/he has to hate what s/he doesn’t like, and some of that was going on.  One post in particular, was from a friend of his and she said,

” [...] why do fat girls always get laid over me??? it’s not that i’m confused and jealous, yes, well, i am quite confused and jealous [...]“

Now, my blood didn’t boil, but it did start to simmer.  I’ll admit it, I know I said all that good stuff about my body before, but it wasn’t easy to getting there.  I spent a lot of years, being looked over and dismissed for being fat, black-dark-skinned, and female, and it hasn’t stopped.  Everyday is a struggle and hopefully a victory.  I just had to put my 2 cents in so I responded with:

“Ill let you in on a secret…
us fat girls have:
-Game-we know how to use our words AND our boobs
-T&A – and if you’re lucky a lot of it
-More cushion for the pushing… this is true
-Curves
-thick skin, confidence, pretty good body image = sexy
-and with the extra weight we can hold our liquor

Sure us fatties are not always all of these things, but us girls who know how to work it… work it well! (clearly I’m talking about myself here)

Sure, it’s not as mean and fiery as the first version I ran through in my head, but I’m not a fighter.  Also it would have not made a difference or forwarded anything if I went off on some girl I don’t even know, about every time some skinny bitch stole something from me.  I stood up for myself in a way I hadn’t before.  I stood up for the people I love, care about, and look up to in a way I hadn’t before, and that last bit of self hate fell away.  I will keep you all update on the goings on of this thread if it turns into anything.

I also think I am funny, and my Benefits of being a Fat Girl is the beginnings of an awesome list, IMO.
